The Hero’s Covenant

By accessing or using Questria (“the Service”), you (“User,” “Hero,” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms” or “Covenant”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Questria, Inc. (“Questria,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By clicking “I Accept,” creating an account, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Questria. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the minimum age is the age of digital consent set by your country, which is between 13 and 16; where your country sets a higher age than 13, that age applies to you instead.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

The first 250 paying subscribers become Founding Members, whichever tier they subscribe to. Founding status is granted in order of subscription across all tiers combined; it is not reserved for, or limited to, any single tier.

You may create a hero and use Questria without a payment method, including two exchanges a day with your own Sage. What 3.1 lists for each paid tier, including the fuller daily allowance and the other Sages, requires that tier. A payment method is needed only when you subscribe, and your subscription begins immediately upon successful payment.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Questria is not for you, write to support@questria.io within 30 days of your first charge and we refund it in full. Renewal charges after the first are not refunded for partial periods.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice.

A Founding Member’s price is held for the tier they subscribed to, at the Sage model generation in effect at that time, for as long as their subscription on that tier continues without interruption. Sage pricing tracks the cost of the underlying AI models: if you move to a tier powered by a newer Sage model generation, that tier’s then-current price applies. Cancelling ends the lock.

All aspects of Questria are the exclusive property of Questria, Inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws. This includes, but is not limited to:

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Questria for your personal, non-commercial use only.

a) Create competing products or services: use any information, data, concepts, designs, mechanics, systems, methodologies, or knowledge gained from Questria to develop, create, launch, operate, or contribute to any product, service, application, or business that competes with or is substantially similar to Questria.

b) Replicate core concepts: replicate, imitate, or create derivatives of Questria’s core concepts, including gamified personal development applications, life-domain-to-RPG-class mapping systems, AI-powered life coaching with character personas, and quest-based goal tracking with XP and leveling mechanics.

c) Use for competitive intelligence: use Questria to gather competitive intelligence, benchmark features, analyze systems, or inform the development of competing products.

d) Assist competitors: share, disclose, or provide any Questria information, insights, or materials to any entity that competes with or intends to compete with Questria.

You expressly agree that you will not:

a) AI training prohibition: use any Questria content, data, designs, concepts, copy, user flows, mechanics, or other materials as training data, prompts, examples, or inputs for any artificial intelligence, machine learning model, large language model, or generative AI system.

b) AI-generated duplication: use any AI tool, including but not limited to any commercial or open-source text, image, or video generation system, to generate products, services, or applications similar to Questria.

c) Prompt engineering prohibition: create, share, or use prompts designed to instruct AI systems to generate Questria-like products, content, or business models.

d) Data extraction for AI: scrape, extract, export, or collect any data from Questria for use in AI training, fine-tuning, or generation.

You retain ownership of content you create, such as custom goals and notes. By submitting content, you grant Questria a non-exclusive license to use, display, and process such content to provide the Service.

User content must not violate any laws, infringe on third-party rights, or contain harmful material.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

Questria lets you record and upload short video clips, currently up to 60 seconds with a caption of up to 500 characters; attach a photograph to a quest you have completed or to a post in the Gathering, up to 8 MB as JPEG, PNG or WebP; and dictate to a Sage by voice. You keep ownership of what you record and photograph.

By uploading a clip or a photograph you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, encode, transcode, reproduce, create thumbnails from, display, and distribute it within the Service, for as long as we host it and for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence exists so we can show what you post to other heroes; it does not let us sell it or use it in advertising without asking you.

Clips and photographs are shown to other heroes in the social feed once they have passed the review described in 7.6. A clip expires automatically about 48 hours after it appears in the feed and is removed from it. A photograph does not expire: it stays with its post until you delete the post, which you can do at any time, and the file is removed from our storage shortly after you do. Copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 to use Questria at all, as Section 2.1 says, and that is the floor for uploading too. A photograph is never shown to another hero until a person has looked at it, whatever your age. If you have told us you are under 18, a clip is held the same way: a person watches it before any other hero can see it.

Audio you record may be sent to a third-party speech-to-text provider to produce a transcript. Our Privacy Policy describes the categories of provider we use.

You are responsible for everything in a clip or photograph you upload, including anyone who appears or can be heard in it. You confirm that you have the permission of every identifiable person in it, and that you hold the rights to any music, footage, artwork, or other material it contains. Recorded music playing in the background is a common way to infringe someone else’s copyright.

Do not upload a clip or a photograph showing a child under 13. Do not upload a recording or a picture of anyone who has not agreed to appear in it.

Nothing you upload appears in the feed until it has been checked, and what is checked depends on what you post. For a clip, an automated system reads the caption you wrote, looking for nudity, violence, hate, self-harm, harassment, spam, and illegal content, and either approves the clip, rejects it, or holds it for a person to look at. The pictures in the clip are not analysed by that system. If you have told us you are under 18, the automated check cannot approve your clip at all; it waits for a person. For a photograph, the same automated check reads the words you posted with it, and then a person looks at the photograph itself before any other hero can see it. No photograph is approved by a machine.

The automated check makes mistakes in both directions: it may reject a post that breaks no rule, and it may pass one that does. A person may take a while. If your post was rejected, or is still waiting and you believe it should not be, write to support@questria.io. We may remove any post and act on your account under Section 12 regardless of what the check decided.

If you believe content on Questria infringes your copyright, write to legal@questria.io identifying the work, where the content appears, and how to contact you, and stating that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We remove infringing material and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Questria lets heroes mentor one another. A mentor is another user of Questria. Mentors are not our employees, contractors, or agents, we do not supervise or direct their mentoring, and we do not endorse them.

To become a mentor, a hero submits an application. That application is reviewed automatically by an AI system that scores it, and a strong enough score approves the application without a person reading it.

We do not carry out background checks. We do not verify identity. We do not confirm qualifications, credentials, licences, or experience. A mentor shown as approved or verified has passed the automated review of an application form and nothing more. Treat a mentor as you would any stranger on the internet.

Mentors are not licensed therapists, counsellors, physicians, financial advisers, or lawyers, and mentorship on Questria is none of those things. Nothing a mentor tells you is professional advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional. Section 10.2 applies to mentorship in full.

If you take part in mentorship, whether as mentor or mentee, you agree not to:

Mentors may not charge mentees. Mentorship is currently offered at no additional charge, and we do not pay mentors.

Messages you send a mentor go to that hero. Share only what you are willing to share with another user. A mentor is not a member of our staff and is not bound by confidentiality obligations to you beyond these Terms.

The automated safety scanning described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy applies to conversations with a Sage, not to messages between heroes. Do not rely on a mentor conversation to reach us in an emergency. Section 10.4 explains what to do instead.

Either hero may end a mentorship at any time and for any reason. We may end a match, remove a mentor from the directory, or withdraw an approval at our discretion, including where we receive a report about conduct.

Report concerning behaviour to support@questria.io. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

We provide the introduction and the place to talk. We do not provide the mentorship itself. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for what a mentor or mentee says or does, and any dispute between heroes is between them. Section 11 applies.

Your use of Questria is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

Questria is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Questria is a personal development tool, not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Always consult qualified professionals for specific concerns.

Individual results vary. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using Questria.

Questria is not an emergency service, a crisis service, or a provider of medical or psychiatric care, and no Sage is a clinician.

As described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, we check messages for language suggesting crisis, and a match alerts our team. That check matches patterns in text. It misses things that matter and it raises false alarms, it does not run on messages between heroes, and it cannot tell how urgent a situation really is.

Nobody watches your conversations in real time. We do not undertake to review any particular message, to review one promptly, or to intervene, and we have no obligation to contact you, anyone you know, or any authority. Where we do act, we act voluntarily, and doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Questria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of cause.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Questria in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, particularly Sections 4, 5, and 6.

Upon termination:

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against Questria.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version number and date at the top of this page always identify the text currently in force.

Where a revision materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice before it takes effect, by email to the address on your account, by in-app notice, or by prominent notice on our website. Changes required by law or addressing a security risk may take effect immediately.

Your continued use of Questria after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of it. If you do not accept a revision, your remedy is to stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the revision takes effect, as described in Section 3.4.

We will not apply a revision retroactively to a dispute that arose before it took effect.
